Hi I'm planning to design robotic arm, and since I lack the resources to make it yet, I want to design it first in a simulator. What simulation software can I use? I want it to be movable just like how AutoCAD works, and I can also move the object according to its center of axis. I'm more of a visual learner when it comes to this stuff, that's why It will be a big help if there's a software just like what I wanted.
I have a design project for school and I need to use 2 DC motors, an h bridge, and an ultrasonic distance sensor to make me robot maneuver through a course using various turns. I’m trying to make mine go by itself using a set of instruction where I have an integer “count” and for every value I have a turn (right, left, 180) assigned. Basically my problem is I was using a for loop with delays to make my turns take a certain amount of time and then trying to find how long they need to turn, but what I’m finding is that the motors drain my 9V batteries so fast that the time it takes has to change with every turn. Is there a way to make a perfect 90 degree turn? Do I need encoders? I’m using a MEGA 2560 so I don’t believe it has an onboard compass. Thanks for any help.
